Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has been one of Equinor’s largest and longest-standing international commitments. The company has been operating there since 1992 and are one of the largest foreign investors. On 22 December 2023, after 30 years in Azerbaijan, Equinor announced that it reached an agreement to sell all its assets to SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic).
